Roof tiles

For my SYW buildings I was lucky to have bought a card cut out of a famous group of buildings in Riga & I colour photocopied the roofs, doors & windows so I could cut & paste on to my BUAs

But for the more rustic type eg farm buildings I make my own tiles in strips as follows

Mark out the grid

slice out the tiles about 2/3 in

cut out the strip of tiles

glue on the roof, slightly over the edge

layer the tiles - don't forget to overlap asymetrically

all the way to the top - almost -& do both sides of course!

add the final topping

trim away any excess
